Back in Philadelphia

Since the beginning of 2016 I have returned to Philadelphia Union to join the technical staff as an assistant coach, with my primary focus on the goalkeepers. My contract will run for two years, i.e. until the end of 2017.

Here is the link to the club's offical press release.

During my stay in the US I will try to follow the Bundesliga as closely as I can and will be crossing my fingers big time for Eintracht Frankfurt !

B-License

Just before my departure to Fort Lauderdale I passed the exam for the Coaching B-License. Now I am well prepared to support the Strikers until the end of the season.

During the past several weeks I was keeping myself in good shape at Eintracht.

I will get on the plane tomorrow, March 20th, and am looking very much forward to the challenging times in Florida.

Wechsel zu den Fort Lauderdale Strikers nach Florida

strikerslogoAs a last step in my active professional career I will be joining the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in March for the Spring Season of the Amercian Soccer League. My contract will end in June of 2014.

After I had been with Philadephia last year I will close the final chapter of my career again in the US. Fort Lauderdale has been very supportive and I hope to be able to help the team with my experience of 379 games in the First and Second Bundesliga. I will be following other great players including legends like Teofilo “Nene” Cubillas, Gerd Müller, George Best, Gordon Banks and Strikers favorites Ray Hudson, Jan van Beveran, and Colin Fowles.

Before I will relocate to Fort Lauderdale I am going to get my B-License as a Coach in February here in Germany. I wish my former team Eintracht Frankfurt all the best and will keep my friends and fans posted during my stay in Florida.
